Welcome to SunrisePointKI.com home of Sunrise Point Cottage & Efficiency Rentals. Sunrise Point is located on the Southeast shore of Kelleys Island, Ohio, overlooking beautiful Lake Erie. The business originated in the 1900’s as a twine shanty, where commercial fisherman brought their nets to be mended. In the early 1950’s, Sunrise Point was renovated and converted into a beautiful four room efficiency hotel. We offer two spacious rooms on the ground level, and two spacious rooms upstairs. Every room has its own private entrance, and a spectacular view of the lake.


		All Sunrise Point rentals include free use of our private grass and stone pebble beach. This beach not only allows our guests a beautiful view of the lake, but also includes access to our private dock. Picnic tables, several pieces of lawn furniture, and outdoor grills are all available for guest use. Soak up sun during the day, watch a beautiful sunset at night, and cook marshmallows over an open fire on the waters edge. Guests can also enjoy our beach by taking a swim in the clean waters of Lake Erie. Swimming from our private beach is much more enjoyable than swimming at the crowded public beaches.

Our private dock offers individuals a wealth of opportunities. Dockage for small to medium sized boats is available upon request. Casual and game fisherman can enjoy fishing for Smallmouth Bass, White Bass, Rock Bass, Crappies, Walleyes, Catfish, Perch, and many other species. Our dock also provides waterfall hunters a prime hunting place in the Fall and Early Winter. Many species of wildlife can be observed from the pier. Species include Muskrats, Waterfowl, and an array of Shorebird. Occasionally Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles are also sighted.
